THE LIMBE RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

The Limbe Research Development Project is an initiative aiming to develop an in-depth blueprint for sustainable and effective development in the region. The project has already gained the support of all three mayors and councils of the Limbe municipality, and efforts are currently being made to establish a connection with Cambridge City Council, UK, to support the programme. At the moment, much of the focus of the project is on fundraising and background research. Over the coming months OGCEYOD will work closely with the councils, businesses, NGOs and communities of the three individual municipalities of Limbe in order to create a thorough and informative research document regarding the problems and issues in the area, how they can be tackled, and how councils, NGOs and civil society can effectively collaborate to make this proposal a reality. Though the project, OGCEYOD also hopes to establish solid and long lasting connections between councils and local NGOs in order to facilitate increased cooperation within the framework of sustainable development and poverty alleviation in Limbe and across Cameroon.
